Wow, was that a good game. It was Lady's first pro hoops game and she was quite excited throughout most of the game. It was never more than six points in either direction. Back and forth action.
AI was off for most of the night. Throwing up bricks and seemingly off-sync handling the ball. KG had a fairly quite night as well. Who's star shined bright? Surprisingly Chris Webber. I was amazed at how well he was moving the entire night. The previous games I've watched this season, he's been almost Mutombo like in movement. Jerky movements in the general direction of the ball carrier or the hoop. But not tonight. He looked loose. He was playing like it was five or six years ago, going to the ball and being very aggressive. I don't think this kind of play will be an everyday thing for the rest of the season.
The game went into OT after KG missed a jumper from the top of the key. That's him pictured above fending off CWebb before popping one off.
But AI gained a little of his form back in the second half and in OT where he whipped a few passes around pretty well. Pictured below is AI crossing up Anthony Carter into a pick.
The crowd was in a tizzy for the final quarter and most of the OT period. The most amped I've seen it all season. The last 30 seconds were terrifying as constant stoppages and tips out of bounds had the 75% full stadium groaning constantly. But they eeked it out. But who missed the ending? None other than the Roots' ?uestlove who bailed out on his second row under the 76ers basket seats before the end of the game. What's up with that Ahmir? Maybe he knew his hometown team would pull it out.
