As a birthday present to myself, I bought myself a 11" x 14" print of the above shot. I picked it up after work on Thursday. It is fucking gorgeous. It may be my single favorite shot I've taken — ever. It's a deep [in depth] photo. It's a richly colored photo, even with it's not so varied pallette of colors. It's symmetrical. It's gritty. It's imperfect. It's balanced with the overexposed flourescent bulb at top and overall darkness and concrete flooring. And the obvious focal point breaking up the bland scene right under the bright flourescent bulb.
I also printed out a 4" x 6" version which has a little more width to it to keep in my 4" x 6" album I keep on the shelf.
And after work today, I'll go pick up a nice frame to put this photo in. I really like it. I like it alot. I love taking photos of the subways.
Happy Birthday Albert! I think that right around 26 is when most men's metabolisms really start to slow down noticeably. Enjoy!

Happy birthday, buddy. And a great present to yourself, too. Hope you have a fantastic day. Heck, you might even get record warmth in Philadelphia to cap it off!
