I just saw on Philly Future via Karl's post that someone nominated me for the Koufax Awards 2005 Best state and local blog. Cool! Flattered. And to whomever nominated this pit stop, thank you.
But I gotta say, I'm a little biased. Even with my fat-headed, ego-centric, know-it-allness, I nominated Above Average Jane when I put in my list and I'll be voting for her when the time comes to do so. I think her local political knowledge combined with her research skills and willingness to take one for the team and go out and read It Takes A Family [Sen. $antorum's shit laden "book"] and review it so the rest of us don't have to have more than earned my vote. But don't take my word for it, take a read yourself: Above Average Jane.
Some other wonderful local blogs also nominated: Philly Future, Will Bunch's Attytood, Jim Capozzola's The Rittenhouse Review and acm's A Smoke Filled Room.
And a note on the title of this post. It doesn't necessarily mean "people" like me, I guess, since all it takes is one person to nominate a blog for a Koufax. But it wasn't me, no shameless self-promotion on my behalf to get the ball rolling. But since it's rolling...
Congratulations Albert!

Gosh, Albert! Thanks for the terrific post! I'll be very happy if there is a good PA showing across the Koufax categories. But, gosh, after reading this, I really have a lot to live up to!
