NYC Transit Workers Strike?

Peeped over at Gothamist that a transit workers' strike looms. The transit workers may by slowing down the trains and buses as a sign of displeasure reports the NY Times.

I hope that NYCers don't have to go through a strike in the cold of winter. We were spared by an unusually warm week during our strike.

I'm arriving in New York on Thursday. Man I hope they settle and avoid a strike. If not, it looks like I'll be doing lots of walking!
