If it's Tuesday, it's Drinking Liberally
I won't be able to make it to Drinking Liberally Super Loyal Patriot Squad - Philadelphia Region tonight at Tangier [1801 Lombard St] - gotta finish up Christmas preparations for the trip home on Friday night. Gotta finish the album and wrap stuff and start figuring out how to bring it all onto the train in a manageable fashion. But I just had to reprint this email sent out by our fearless leader, not-Peter:
Note: Attempting to circumvent all this wiretapping business. I apologize if this is unclear but I can't afford to be on any more watchlists, especially after that unfortunate "plane tickets to Baghdad on Orbitz.com" incident.
The group that was once known as Drinking Liberally Philadelphia (now known as Super Loyal Patriot Squad - Philadelphia Region) will still be meeting tonight at Tangier, 18th and Lombard Sts., from 6 to 9 pm. Dollar off drafts and well drinks, and free Omaha Wings early on (Buffalo is just too close to Canada). The planned itinerary for the evening includes group reading of "Poems of Devotion to George W. Bush," a discussion on the topic of Why They Just Know What's Best, and a viewing of the documentary film "The Conspiracy to Destroy Our Deeply-Rooted-in-Roman-and-Pagan-Harvest-and-Solstice-Festivals Celebration of the Birth of Our Lord That We Won't Explicitly Blame on Jews But Hey, Draw Whatever Conclusions You'd Like..."
Hope to see you there, loyal, heroic Americans!
So, for all the Loyalists out there, trek on over to Tangier for free wings and $1 off drink specials [6p-9p]. This is the second week in a row I won't be there, crappers.
*wiping away tears*....oh man I needed a laugh today. Can't make it tonight but I definitely want to come to one of these soon.
