More and more venues are popping up hosting screenings of Robert Greenwald's latest film, Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price. We will be heading to this screening at the Gershmann Y Levitt Auditorium at 401 S Broad St [@ Pine St] for the 6p screening this Sunday the 13th. The auditorium has seats for 500 so it should be a pretty lively crowd.
Jobs with Justice is hosting this event and other speakers that night include:
LANCE HAVER, Director of the Mayor's Office of Consumer Affairs
TAMMY GAVITT, Secretary of the Philadelphia Chapter of the National Organization for Women
Representative from UFCW [United Food and Commercial Workers]
Representative from SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS NETWORK's Buy Local Campaign
More screenings of the film can be found here. Or you can even buy a copy of the DVD yourself here.
