As I biked home from work today, I took note of all the prices of gas I saw on the way. Around 46th & Chestnut, the two gas stations [BP & Hess] were selling regular at $2.98.
As Rita bears down on the Texas coastline, Galveston in particular, it will drive the price of gasoline up as Katrina did when it hit the refineries off of the coast of New Orleans.
Will the prices rise as much as quickly? We'll find out very soon.
