I just saw Susie's post on EschaCon 2005. What is EschaCon 2005? Read the press release. In part:
On Labor Day weekend 2005, the readers of the political blog Eschaton will meet in Philadelphia for the first annual EschaCon.... EschaCon was originally conceived in order to create, in real time and space, the lively (and sometimes unruly) comments section at Eschaton. From its original social purpose, however, it quickly morphed into a tool for political organization. Formal programming now includes a panel on the potential for progressive blogging, including posters from Suburban Guerrilla and Dohiyi Mir, and a strategy session for the 2006 midterm elections. Several prominent regional and national politicians have also indicated an interest in attending.
Sounds like fun! I should be around town for this. See you there!
Heh...
