I'm on the parkway right now blogging this. It works. Eureeka.
I'm back now inside and just added the above image. I fled with stormclouds, thunder and lightning looming. It didn't actually start raining though. But it works. I was in Logan Square [pictured above] right by the fountains and had 6mbps. I'm not sure where the access point was and didn't want to go any further towards the Museum for fear of getting soaked with a ton of expensive electronic equipment on me.

Pretty cool, eh? I've known about Philly's free WiFi spots for a bit now, but only last night did I ever get around to lugging my laptop out into "the field" and try it out.
It was a painless setup as well, 4 steps which I did in all of 15 seconds or so. I think it's called the Cloud Network or something. I forget exactly, I was typing furiously to beat what looked like a crazy storm that was about to open up on my head.
