This is what Rindelaub's Row looked like on May 11th 2005. It's gonna look very different in the coming months and years. That's where the new Rittenhouse condos will go. They're selling for well over $3M apiece for a one bedroom. Good grief.

i would like to meet one of these people who are willing to pay $3M for an apartment...and kick them in the shins.

Woah. 3 mill. But that includes unlimited free concerts from the blind Flute lady on Walnut Street.
Seriously though, are they knocking those buildings down, or gutting them and rehabbing? I used to work in that highrise right behind there.

i'm assuming that they're gonna knock them down and build an entirely new structure.

Sorry -- the flute lady comment was probably inappropriate.

yeah, but the inappropriate ones are often the funniest ones.

It's really unfortunate to see it go. My grandparents (Carl & Maryan Rindelaub) would be devastated.
Thanks to everyone for the Internet information that allows us to keep up to date on the happenings.
I'll keep my fingers crossed. . .

I've just walked by-- they've started demolishing the Row.
