Above is a shot of the Fraternal Order of Police building on the 13xx block of Callowhill. I walked by it today and noticed the Seth Williams for DA banner. Good stuff. I need me one of those to walk around with. Just cut some armholes, eh?
If you'd like to get together with some of the bloggers who made this Inky article possible, we're having a little get together on Friday night for drinks at Black Sheep which is on 17th St between Locust and Spruce. It's a nice place. I believe the time is 5.30p. It's gonna be a get together / fundraiser for the final few days of the Williams for D.A. campaign. More details over at Young Philly Politics. I'm gonna be in CT for a wedding over the weekend, but I'll be there in spirit and will read up on it afterwards.
Lynn Abrahams on Seth, from PHILLY1 -
from: http://www.philly1.com/story2051105.html
Asked to respond to Seth Williams' record as an Assistant D.A., Abraham replied: "Seth Williams won only 5 of (the) 95 cases (he prosecuted)."
Citing one of Williams' failed cases where the criminal, a burglar, admitted his guilt and went to the extreme of personally escorting police to each of the crime sites and detailing an accurate list of what he stole. "And he (Williams) couldn't even win that one. He even lost that," said Abraham.
"Indeed," Abraham said "...Williams' career as a D.A. was mostly spent decorating his office, taking credit for what others (Assistant D.A.'s) did, and throwing darts."

I wonder where Abraham got that STATISTIC since she has said numerous times how she does not keep them. This sounds to me like she's clawing at anything that could make Williams look bad in these last few days.
