For all of you contact lens wearers out there, is there anything better than the day you finally get around to a) put in a brand spanking new pair of contacts or b) getting off of your lazy ass to get to the eye doctor in the city you've now lived in for nine months to get some new fucking contacts! Nope. I've had my "two-week disposables" in for, I'd say, six months or so.
Normally, I like to be a miser and use the two-weekers for a month or two, but I've just been really lazy about getting to the eye doctor down here in Illy for EVER. Money was also a factor, but not that big. I mean, I could've easily have not spent my money on frivolous things and walked over to take care of my eyes, but I didn't. But finally, I did. I walked over to Eye Encounters on Chestnut & 19th Sts. and got a checkup and two boxes of new lenses for $99. The standard deal. And boy are my eyes happy for it. They've been almost unbearably scratchy/ithcy/hurty for awhile now. Sorry eyes.
