For all the "heaviness" of Guinness, it has fewer calories than a lot of other of the good beers out there, excluding the watery lights of course, but I wouldn't be caught dead with one of those.

Water swirls down a drain in a clockwise direction above the equator and counter-clockwise below the equator. I forget why though. And at the equator, I believe it just cascades down all sides of a drain. Weeeeiiiiirrrrdd.

H₂O is the only substance that occupies more space in a solid state than in a liquid one. You know this if you've ever put a plastic bottle of water into the freezer and forgotten to leave enough room at the top for it to expand resulting in pools of ice everywhere after it bursts.

Why is this? I believe it has to do with the Hydrogen bonds. I forget exactly, it's been years since Chemistry class in college and high school. But this tidbit has stayed with me through the years.
